Instructions for first class meeting

Intermediate and Advanced Obedience classes

Please bring your dog, your clicker and treats to the first class. The Intermediate class will last about one hour. The Advanced Obedience class typically last about 1 1/2 hours.

All classes:

Some dogs need more personal space than others. Please ask the owner before letting your dog greet another dog.

Please bring a copy of your dog's current record of vaccinations or antibody titers, if you did not do so when you registered.

Payment is expected in full the first night of class unless prior arrangements have been made.

Please bring:

A six foot leash is required. The leash may be either leather or mesh. No flexi leads or chain leashes are allowed.

The methods used in class are force-free training with positive reinforcement. We teach you to develop a system of communication with your dog that gives you the opportunity to reward good behavior, to create a better bond between you and your dog.

Beginners and Puppy classes:

Do not bring your dog to the first class meeting. We are going to train you first! The first class will be an orientation session that lasts about 2 1/2 hours. There will be a ten minute break in the middle.

Subsequent classes last one hour.

Classes will be held at Dogs' Day, 2516 Sandersville Rd., Lexington.
